Lovely beyond belief

Today's packed schedule:

Get up
Pub for lunch
Short snooze in front of The Simpsons
Pub for dinner

Lunch was rather civilised - with jazz and roast beef, dinner was about catching up with a friend we haven't seen for years, and probably won't see again for years as he lives in New Zealand. But despite the long gaps of time, the old order is quickly restored and it is very much we are all 19 again ignoring an essay deadline in the College bar.

Lots of laughing, mocking and chat, and despite the thickening midriffs and thinning hair, no-one has really changed at all.

The first pub this evening was bedecked with Daily Mail and Evening Standard front pages. I rather liked this one.
