Official start to Blip year 2
New Years Eve day last year, December 31 2011, I posted my first ever blip. Leap Year 2012 pushed my blip birthday back a day, but for me this is the day. The idea was born amongst friends during an early morning run, around a conversation about the new year and wishes to spend more time in our lives and not feeling so dragged through them. Today I plan to scroll through the year from start to finish to see what was what in my small world in 2012. A great plan that might be toppled considering I have multiple teenage girls (and one eleven year old!) all still asleep in my house. So what feels like a day filled with potential for being pensive, it will likely be a day of deep breaths and patience and dishes. Lots of dishes. And likely a fair amount of driving to and from who knows where.
I thought it was only fitting to capture a shot of sunrise from a morning run, this this year it was a solo run, to ring in year 2 on blip. What a gift this practice is! A photo a day has become grounding and meditative and feels like a nudge from the universe to just settle down and BE. (Only sometimes it's stressful because my abilities to slow down are imperfect and blip on those days is way more than a nudge from the universe... More like an aggressive shove!)
Happy New Years Eve. 2013 here I come. (Goals and hopes and wishes tomorrow.)
