Blue Heron in the Treetops

One of my friends I pass frequently out walking told me about some heron nests high in the trees nearby our house. There are at least three nests and more than five herons high in the trees, so high I had my longest lens all the way out. What a sight it is, and wow, do they make a lot of noise. It’s almost a honk and I’m not sure why they make that sound. Maybe some of you readers know!
Grateful today...to see old friends at a memorial service. Old friends are the best.
