I spent a relaxing few hours having my hair done and enjoying a manicure and pedicure. It did mean that I didn't have my afternoon swim, but I did spend time talking to a lovely Korean girl who is here for a month with her two young sons. The boys are having swimming lessons and are doing very well. Mum is confined to the sidelines as she had a fall in her condo and has twisted her knee. It is badly bruised and very swollen. She visited the local hospital and they have fitted her with a leg brace.
Later hubby and I headed out for dinner. We went to an area of Chiang Mai known as One Nimman which is a modern area that has an assortment of food stalls, restaurants and shops. It is built around a 'town square'. There is a tower there where images of beauty spots around ChiangMai are projected for about an hour each evening. There is also a stage where they put on dancing displays, this mainly consists of jiving or salsa. The square is a popular meeting place and tourist spot. This is where the Chinese Restaurant is and the Korean Restaurant.
I took this shot as we were walking through the square. We caught a song taew home but we were the only passengers.
