Life in the haar

Earlier this morning the lochan over on Forvie was looking rather ethereal in the retreating haar.

The purple flowers in the foreground are marsh thistles and the intense green plants around the water are horsetails, the descendants of those primitive plants upon which dinosaurs once grazed.
