Life on the Fells

Took Mother to the flower festival dipicting Life on the Fells. This display was telling the story of how pubs have changed over the decades; once the preserve on the men with their ales but now having to accommodate women and tourists who want to drink more than beer. As it was my birthday,  the scene reminded me to put some fizz in the fridge for an aperitif before dinner out and that, as usual, no-one had bought me flowers!
