White Stripes

I almost discarded this photo in favour of a dreamy soft focus flower shot because the grass here is, let's say, not exactly at its best. However, I couldn't decide what to call the flower shot and decided I didn't have any emotional connection to it. The pattern in this image is so striking with the green and white striped leaves curling this way and that, I found it captivating, despite the plant's shortcomings.

I liked that there is one small curled up leaf in contrast with all the other similarly sized and shaped leaves. I think all the imperfections keep it real, but next year I'll time it better to see what I think!
