GETTING READY...

... it seems the 50th Anniversary of the moon landing is building momentum, with a TV channel here doing a documentary style movie of the build up - the flight - landing etc etc. ... "the Eagle has landed"!

Have got to admire the success when you consider technology progress today vs back then... maybe it helped the swift changes in those 50 years.

Our age has seen massive change in so many ways in that time. I can remember standing in Rundle Street Adelaide with many others watching the TV in the window of a retail store of the landing. It was a memory I will never forget. Man on another planet.
Also proud that our Parkes telescope assisted in supplying some of the clearest first photos from the landing. 

Anyways, the moon was looking lonely out there tonight so another "crater" shot, but from all accounts no one there now!!! 
BUT, if you are looking for some pretty neat photographic gear the movie says they left behind quite an amount of camera gear and other equipment!
