Le Grand Tour de Bretagne - Jour 6

Tréguier, Brittany

Continuing our journey west along the Pink Granite Coast, a cooler start to the day that once again turned out to be warm and sunny. Am loving these Breton blue skies...

First stop of the day: Tréguier, where the light through the cathedral’s stained glass windows painted colourful pictures on the ancient stone floor. More picturesque wooden houses, and a coffee stop in the cathedral square.

Second stop of the day: Ploumanac’h, recently voted France’s favourite village, and I can see why. Following the Sentier des Douaniers, we walked along the coast, amongst the heather, passing amazing rock formations, and discovered a pretty little cove where we stopped for a cooling paddle.

Third stop of the day: Île Grande, a tiny little island where we camped for the night, and came upon megalithic remains on our evening stroll, before joining the locals at the village pub for a local cider.

(A quick sixth backblip as it’ll soon be time to set off for Le Bal des Pompiers (The Firemen’s Ball!) and fireworks to celebrate Bastille weekend! Thank you for all your recent kind comments, stars and hearts.)
