In The Occupied Territory

Hanging around

I have a confession to make. I never actually took this pictures. June did and sent the top me.
We have a wee gooseberry bush in the garden and this year there is a crop of berries on it. June went to pick them to make jam and discovered this tiny baby bay hiding there. Looking behind her she saw a larger one , probably the mother, hanging underneath the arbour.
She found a local animal rescue centre , New Arc, and a man came to check them out. The mother had gone, but the baby was still there. They couldn’t find mum anywhere. Hopefully she is hiding, but since there were a lot of crows in the garden at one point...

Anyway Junior has been rescued and is now being taken care off.
