Sophie The Writer

Sophie has become more and more fascinated with sounding out and writing letters and words in recent weeks; this afternoon she spent a happy hour asking me how to spell and write her friends' names, animals and any other words that came into her head, while I watched the Ladies' Final at Wimbledon. Here she is, pleased with her progress.

This morning she ran the first mile of the park run with me while Mummy and Grandma forged ahead; Grandma equalled her personal best time and I managed to catch up with them on the last lap while Sophie played with our next door neighbour's daughter while her Mum completed her first park run.


The rest of the day has been largely spent engrossed in an amazing Gentlemens' Doubles Final.
