Where's the bridge gone?.....

.....looks like its under water! This is what met me and Bonnie when we went to Carlisle for a walk in Rickerby Park. We parked in the Stoneyholme Golf Club car park and the River Petteril, which runs into the Eden had burst its banks and flooded the golf course, good job its closed in the winter! We walked across the pedestrian bridge into the park and could see that the River Eden was more or less level with the grass. So with fingers crossed that the river wouldn't burst its banks we did our walk. We met lots of dogs along the way but poor Bonnie wont have anything to do with them anymore and gives strange dogs a wide berth after a dog went for her a few months back which frightened her.

Somebody told me that the road was closed in the park but nobody seemed to be taking any notice as there were still some cars there and some were parked in standing water!
