Afternoon walk.
After doing some garden “maintenance” this morning, we had an earlier lunch and set out on our walk.
It has been a cloudy day for the most part, and was humid this afternoon. I love walking through the fields with their waving grasses, peppered with camomile flowers, and scarlet poppies. There have been areas which have been left “fallow” this time and it’s been lovely to see more wild flowers in the pastures.
High summer kind of day.
We did a 4 mile route, and on the way home the sky began to clear, the sun appeared, and the air became fresher.
I gather that the Ladies Final at Wimbledon only took an hour!
Ticket holders for Centre Court must have felt cheated!
Serena Williams beaten in straight sets 6-2, 6-2!
The hedgehog appeared on the camera footage from last night/early morning. Along with two field mice, next door’s cat, and the blackbird, (who finished off the meal worms in the shallow dish that the hedgehog had left having eaten most of them)
They did not all appear at the same time!
Fun uploading the videos each morning to see what has transpired during the nighttime hours.
If you look closely at the photo you may spot hubby on the left. A splash of blue.
