Apples and Oranges

Happy New Year!

Ring out, wild bells, to the wild sky,
The flying cloud, the frosty light;
The year is dying in the night;
Ring out, wild bells, and let him die.

Ring out the old, ring in the new,
Ring, happy bells, across the snow:
The year is going, let him go;
Ring out the false, ring in the true.
...

Ring out, wild bells - A Tennyson

This is a beautiful poem. If you want to read it in it's full, just google the name.
It's a tradition in Sweden to read this poem in a swedish translation on New years eve, just before the bells struck midnight. The poem was written in the year 1800, if I'm not wrong, and it's amazing that the verses fit so well in our century to.

I wish you all a Happy New year, with health, love and happiness! :)
