Snow Fun
It’s been a very long day. We left home at 5:15am and made quite good time arriving at the ski tube at 11:30 where we met Graham and his family.
It wasn’t so quick after that.
First they hired boots and skis for all the kids (except Jane of course).
With 5 trolley loads of luggage, plus another big suitcase, we got plenty of help onto the train for the 15 minute trip up the mountain to the ski fields.
Once there, it was the longest we’ve ever had to wait for oversnow transport to our lodge. Over an hour.
In fact, seeing we had so much luggage, they took it first on a separate vehicle. I think we finally all got there about 2:30pm. Mr isbi is completely knackered tonight as he went with the luggage and had to carry it all through the snow into the lodge.
There has been a good dumping the last couple of days and the weather is still pretty foul today so no one was tempted to head out again, although the kids had some fun on the balcony. Pictured is Adelaide.
The extra is some of the lovely high country scenery we pass on the way.
