Betony

Betony ( Stachys officinalis).

Found on old grassland, wood edges and heaths in England and Wales.
It was one of the great “all-heals” of medieval herbalists.

Here it is obviously doing well on Arnside Knott with Morecambe Bay on the horizon.

Thank you for all the stars and hearts for yesterdays selection of grasses. I was unsure how i would be received. But I just have known that blippers are high on intellectual curiosity and keen to learn about almost anything.
