While my good friend ClarissaFox cooked up tonight's New Year's Eve feast, this afternoon Mr Fox took me and two other Hogmanay guests for a visit of the BBC 5Live studios in Salford. This is the view from the top floor balcony of the building.

We also managed a quick whiz around the art exhibitions at the Lowry and a last-minute dash to the supermarket.
