Young Cardinal

This fledgling/juvenile northern cardinal - I'm not sure yet if it's a male or a female - has been coming to the bird café regularly lately. Today s/he really amused me because the bird café is starting to look like a scene from The Birds - in that we have probably upwards of thirty or forty common grackles out there whenever there's any birdseed - and this young bird just steps right up and gets its share and doesn't let those big black evil looking birds chase him/her away. S/he's a pistol!
