At sea

Took a boat trip out of La Rochelle to Fort Boyard. A great day for it, all sun and sea-spray.

The fort itself seems less dramatic than the last time we saw it, perhaps because it looked bigger from a smaller boat. La Rochelle itself looks very impressive and imposing from the sea.

Stop for a drink in a sunny square in town, a whirlwind supermarket sweep and then relax with a BBQ at the holiday house.
