sound booth

i went to see mae last night in cambridge and even though i'm running on two and a half hours sleep today i'm glad i went. last year andrea [her brother] nick and i all went to see them in buffalo but it turned out to be emo fest '08 and we found ourselves crumpled in the corner of a dingy bar waiting for the band to perform. this time around i was feeling much more confident, so much so that i walked into the middle of the crowd in the tiny basement bar to enjoy the music.
it didnt hurt this time either, it was my music and my moment to enjoy without it being tainted with painful memories. i should have gone to school in boston like i had planned.
