Goosanders

A wonderful warm sunny day and we went for a local walk with friends.  Its good to see that large areas at the edges of fields have been left for wild flowers to grow and we saw many butterflies including a comma(see extra), gatekeeper, ringlet, painted lady, marbled white and meadow brown. We also spotted a peregrine falcon, a linnet and heard some skylarks.  On the way back this troupe of female Goosanders glided past us, a lovely sight.
