Dead Vlei

Day 10: Namibia

Up at 5.45 ready to enter the Sossusvlei in time for sunrise. We had an amazing day, starting with a walk up Dune 45 for sunrise (see extra) then we climbed Big Daddy and had great fun running down the sand in to Dead Vlei (main photo and extra). It was incredible to see the salt pan, the stunning colours and the dead trees.

Drove to Solitaire where we camped in another stunning setting. This is such a fascinating and amazing country. The people have been very friendly and helpful.
