"Spread Your Little Wings"
Having spotted and got a quick snap of a willow emerald damselfly last week I've been searching for them every day. It's a bit like looking for a needle in a haystack, in fact damselflies used to be known as the Devil's darning needles. I've located them a few times but not managed a decent shot until today. I really wasn't expecting to see this female on the thistles in the corner of our field. This spreadwing species began to colonise the UK in 2009 and it reached our property three years ago.
My birds seen at Fishers Green are a juvenile blackcap, a crow looking down on Ollie dog and me from a Seventy Acres Lake bridge arch and a greylag goose in flight.
