Glory Be!

Oh how delighted I was to see a red squirrel in the garden again! At a meeting of the Penrith and District Red Squirrel Group we had heard how the red squirrels at Lowther Caravan Park had succumbed to squirrelpox virus and people staying there were being told not to feed them.

On sale had been some Stokboard feeders, ones made from recycled plastic that can easily be disinfected. We bought one and here it is being used by the squirrel.

The afternoon was spent in front of the tv watching the best F1 race of the season!
