Bonne Année

The good news is, the womenfolk are showing much improvement in the flu situation and are more up and about today. The day itself has been drab and rainy, and a little trip out to buy a few things resulted in a quick diversion into our local Next. Half the floor was empty, so I imagine the shop had been mobbed last week during the sales, leaving just new stock and a few things on the rails.

Phil has returned this evening from deepest Surrey where he has been languishing in style for the last few days, so we expect to see the new year in all together. The mandatory phone calls to France can thankfully take place at 11pm UK time, as they are an hour ahead, so we get to celebrate twice I suppose?
