End of year

Final ensemble concert for band is a fantastic one. Always a brilliant afternoon in the grounds of a local stately home. My little lady beautifully leading as principal clarinet. Her poise and style on her clarinet stand out.

She had a solo today. The soloists had to stand out of the tent. Despite the teachers and her pegging their music, as the conductor lifted the baton, Katies flew clean off her stand. She missed all but about 4 bars of her solo, her and her teacher trying to find the place in the music when it was returned, yet she pulled it together calmly. Another lesson in professionalism for this little musician.
