An afternoon wander around the garden

I took my camera out with me yesterday afternoon hoping to see some of the butterflies I’d seen in the morning while I was working in the garden but they weren’t cooperating.  There was one very fast flying darker brown one that didn’t stop and then nothing, so I decided the flowers would need to be my focus.  In the morning I’d spotted a Gatekeeper and a very pristine Small Tortoiseshell.  The flowers are coming into their own now and I’ve got lots of nectar producing plants that insects like - it’s just the insects that are missing!
