Not at all Damsel-like
JJ had a tonne of pea gravel delivered yesterday, and now he's wondering what to do with the remaining 99%, which needs shifting so that we can close the gates at the end of the drive.
I met up with a photography friend this morning for a bit of a wander and to take a few photographs. We disturbed a heron and weren't ready until it was on the other side of the lake, and too far away. Later on I spotted two swans on take-off, switched on my camera, made sure I was on shutter priority but forgot to take the lens cap off.
There were dozens of damselflies in mating mode and a few common darters laying eggs in the lake, which I managed to get pictures of, but they weren't as close as I'd have liked.
