Stan the man (again)
No apologies for blipping Stan again.
I mentioned, when I blipped him last week , that he had worked in the Royal Train Shed as a lad. This morning I showed him a photo of the old Tin Shop, where we now park our car. He told me that during the war, this building was used to build some of the Horsa gliders that took part in the D-Day landings.
He grew very thoughtful for a moment and then said; "you could stand at one end when it's very quiet and wonder about all the memories contained within those bricks".
A bit of a poet, I think.
