Unidentified Bug

I saw this in the garden yesterday on a buddleia leaf and it was still there today. I have no idea what it is, it is about the size of a ladybird. Could it be a ladybird changing from the lava stage to a ladybird. Anyway I thought I would blip it for Tiny Tuesday even though I do prefer the Small Tortoiseshell in extras.

Where has the day gone? I had intended to add another blip from France as I am so behind with them. Maybe tomorrow.
