Miners Trail

The Boss (from Tussock Tales), and I have had a wonderful day at the Snowfarm.  The snow was sparse, but enough for us to walk on in our snowshoes.  It was mainly sunny, but we did have a shower of hail come through.  Pleased it wasn't a shower of rain.  12,000 steps, or 9 km.

We walked along the dog trail, hanging valley and ended up at Musterers Flat.  There wasn't much snow there, lots of tussock, riverlets, and patches of snow to walk on.  After lunch, we had a long hard walk back to the base building.  The extras are (1)  The view from the Base building, and (2)  Nearly back at the Base building.  

We had a nice hot chocolate before heading for home.  We rated it 90 out of 100.  They just need a top up of snow, then it will be perfect.
