Summer Uprising

Really glad I decided to go to XR Glasgow's day of action that is part of the Summer Uprising week of action. A photo of the Glasgow XR action made headlines on the online Guardian front page, though by the end of the day Trump's appalling racist comments took priority. What times we live in. 

I’ve met some very interesting and very lovely people, am going to be processing thoughts about the day for some time.  One thing I would say is if you feel inclined to go, don’t let the risk of arrest put you off. You can choose what level of action you want to take - lots of families with young children go, by being there you are making a statement.  And if like me you feel despairing about the future of the planet, just doing something makes you feel a little better.
