Making lunch

Veg from the garden. The dry has reduced the quantity but quality is pretty good. Grew some red potatoes this year - not big yielders but a nice salad spud. Sadly I don’t know the variety.

Tried out the new barbecue - an Italian made sturdy steel affair. Very good.

The long onions on left are Cipolla di Tropea - an early spring delicacy originating from the town of Tropea in distant southern Calabria - apparently Tonino’s gelateria there makes a tropea-flavoured ice cream.
