Local tour

Off relatively early for a tour of some of the local sights/sites, heading up into the hills to avoid the worst of the heat.
A coffee and a little shop in Villefort before a wander around the old streets of La Guarde-Guerin including this impressive pile, all in a stunning setting of the Upper Chassezac gorge.
Then a picnic and paddle by the Borne before heading home for a well-earned siesta.
Brother in law and I then realised that the Cricket World Cup was reaching its conclusion and so the TV was turned on for the last ten (or as it turned out 12) overs. One minute confidence, the next despair as the end came closer and closer. It even cut short the two hour discussion of what one wears to the wedding of a daughter.
I can't think of a closer finish to any major competition - but then that is the sort o;f thing the commentators are always saying.
Anyway England winning was a bonus but meant dinner was rather later than anticipated.
