Rock and Law, Hill and Tower
My partner is working. I deal with the washing, then do the bike maintenance (dirty hands on clean washing is not a good look).
In the afternoon I walk to Liberton over the Braid Hills, not along the bridleway. I try to get a shot of Craigmillar Castle in the sun, but the clouds aren't playing ball. The sunshine is in the distance at, or near, North Berwick. The Bass Rock is glowing white while North Berwick Law seems very dark.
I carry on east, then head down towards the campsite where there's a path I haven't taken before. I heads towards Alnwickhill Road. there an interesting play park and a woodland walk. Across a field full of poppies and white flowers I can see Blackford Hill and Liberton Tower (Extra).
From Liberton, I get the bus to Cameron Toll to meet my partner for coffee, then some shop browsing.
After tea, time to watch the highlghts of the first stage of the Tour de France, followed by Montalbano.
