Treasured Lives
I decided to try the Wide Weds challenge today, hosted by BobsBlips. I took a stroll over to the Hadstock churchyard and noticed this row of striking headstones for the first time (as they are bit tucked away under the trees).
I thought the theme of "treasure" could apply here, as someone obviously treasured the lives of those remembered with such lavish stones.
I also thought it worth adding an extra of the door to the church, which is reputedly the oldest church door still in regular use in England. I think it's pre-Norman (just), so about 1000 years old.
