All together now

Eric leads the audience in the inevitable mass rendition of Se Canto at the end of an evening of Pyrenean songs from three-man band Passo Cansoun. He had to conduct because he'd done a syncopated arrangement that was less dirge-like than the usual one. Also inevitable, our mayor Serge being invited on stage with his brother to join in the final song. 

We travelled from the Basque Country to Catalonia without leaving the amphitheatre. Interestingly enough not a single one of the songs was in French or Spanish. Basque, Occitan, Aranese, Catalan.

Thank goodness there are events to go to just metres from our front door to relieve my boredom! Although I did still nearly fall over my own crutches on the cobbles outside our door.
