New orchid

While visiting isbi recently she gave me a spare orchid. I had trouble finding a spot in the car as we had 4 grandchildren and a dog with us. Somehow we got it home with only one bud missing in action and now it has opened. The flowers are small but they have a delightful scent which I can smell from rooms away.

This is special as it was one of Mr isbi’s mother’s orchids. She was a wonderful person and we often shared plants with each other. She showed me her orchid collection one day and said they had been in the family for decades.
