The good thing (for me) is some respite from the warmer weather, and a chance for our home to cool down.

Still recovering from lots of Aspall at a jolly Brewhouse & Kitchen Cider Pairing event in Southbourne last night. We and our friends G&N ate and drank while chatting to several convivial chaps sitting at our end of the communal table.

Bargain of the year. £10pp for which we EACH got 3 x ½ pints of Cider (No, I didn’t drink it all), with (bite-size) tapas: padron peppers, pork belly or aubergine, and cheesecake. And an Aspall hemp goodie bag containing 2 bottles of cider and and a smart note taking book. Must look out for the next event (sadly I don’t like beer/ale which they brew on the premises).
