St Mary Magdalene Church, Stretton Sugwas, Herefordshire. A Victorian construction to replace an earlier church, but using old timber in the very striking tower, which was what caused me to stop. Unfortunately I did not go inside, so missed the Samson and the Lion tympanum by the great mediaeval sculptor known as the Chief Master.
