Bit of a lazy place this one, as we found out when we went for a walk down at the boardwalk around 9am and everywhere was still shut. Absolutely roasting at that time and two out of three of us said they would never be doing that walk again. Hot, sweaty, knackered. Me, I'll consider it...carefully.

So, we had all been up early because of the whole time difference/acclimatisation thing and, indeed, I'd already been down the beach and in the sea for a swim at 7.30 before a cinnamon roll and coffee on the balcony. Bit of an exploring day kind of day later on - seeking out air-con, lunch at The Angry Pepper, down to St. Pete Beach, iced coffees, the discovery of Stranger Things 3 merch at Baskin Robbins - ahoy!

Some nice family beach and sea time later, then sunset complete with diving pelicans and finishing off the first full day with some quality relaxation time on the balcony.
