The Crypt

This afternoon we did the cathedral tour. All of it.

It involved 22 stops, listening to an audio description of each and every facet of the magnificent building's history and provenance. 

It was fascinating, but the best parts for me were the two extremes: the crypt, below sea level and with extraordinary reverberation acoustics in the middle, which made it all feel a bit trippy, and the bell tower 136 feet above the ground, where the bells ring out every 15 minutes. We arrived at the top just in time for the quarter-to chimes.

Final night dins has been in a lovely Argentinian place, where medium is rare and rare is sent back! But delicious for all that.
