Double Pink

I missed a lot of my poppy flowers this year as I was away in the main flowering season. However, there are a few stragglers, this being one of them. A cool and wet day today but I am not complaining. The house opposite us has been empty for 28 months but some new neighbours moved in today and the curtains have been opened at long last. The previous owners who came to do their final clean yesterday were a bit wacky on their colour scheme which belonged more in the 1970s. I met the new owners today and at 5 feet tall and in a neighbourhood of 5 houses, I am second tallest of the ladies, quite a feat for me.
