Future Farmers of America

The Texas FFA held their annual convention in Fort Worth again this year.  Our granddaughter graduated from high school this year so she could not attend again.  The city was filled with bright, happy high schoolers learning about something that probably will impact their lives.  The kids are polite yet full of energy and wonder.  They arrived in school buses that were marked by school districts and towns I have never heard of.  Of course, I am not a native Texan and the state runs four hours driving east of here, ten hours driving west of here and eight hours driving south.  

For all the lies Texans tell about this state, its size is not one of them.
