Satya feast

What special treatment we received today. A special friend invited us with our friends Ramesh and his wife Tulsi to a Satya feast prepared and cooked by him and his wife and friends.. This was so unexpected and such a special treat .. this meal is typical Keralan food and is usually served at weddings .. and the host does not sit down and eat with us .. he and his friends serve ... as it is a meal that has to be continuously served .. and is presented on a banana leaf (can you believe that some people are now making plastic banana leaves) .. 20 years ago even less there were no waste products here now there is plastic!! Bottles being the greatest problem...

So here you see some of that meal and Ramesh eating in the Indian way with right hand only ... and head low and food scooped into the mouth. I love eating this way .. Knives and forks seem to just get in the way of the taste and the experience... and the food was delicious ..

And we have been taken to some amazing places this evening and I had left the memory card out of my camera!!!! Drat drat drat but then you might not have seen this wonderful food if I had had it...
