Hot weather and afternoon storms

Hot summer weather in the Alps generally always leads to crash-bangs in the afternoon with sudden, heavy downpours. Time it right - and you can have lovely walks between the storms as you watch the heavy grey clouds pass by dumping their loads. Time it wrong and there is no escape until it passes.
