Dress shop dog

This wee dog often sits in the window of one of the Bruntsfield dress shops that I pass on my way to work. I think he/she enjoys sunbathing while watching the passers-by.

On campus I made a start on planning my teaching for next semester and reviewed some PhD work. This was the rather mundane part of the day.

The fun came this evening when Nick took us all out for dinner in town. We were treated like celebrities at one of his (or at least his company's) restaurants. We were seated at a great table and served complimentary fizz, enjoyed very attentive service - and our meals were superb. Indeed I think that my steak was the most delicious that I have ever eaten. If only all Friday nights could be as much fun as this!
