Avebury

The standing stones at Avebury are, so I am told, 500 years older than those at Stonehenge, and cover a wider area. They are certainly impressive. Some are - to put it plainly - huge. This one was not nearly the largest, but I liked its shape.

We are on a road trip, introducing Baby to my Great Aunts and Uncles, and apparently a stay in Marlborough would not be complete without visiting Avebury. We all linked hands around this particular stone to give it a hug, as you do.
