Popped up for a few hours to look at Formula Student, an Institution of Mechanical Engineers supported event. Universities from around GB and some much further afield travel to take part in an event where they talk through a car designed to the FS rules, the business case for it, and then they get to perform a number of driving tests.

It's interesting to see how some of the teams fair. There are a number who have been doing it for years now, and are pretty professional, some have been doing it a while and look really poor, some come from parts of the world where motorsport is very thin on the ground and to get all the way there and have a vehicle is certainly a brilliant achievement.
