This picture was taken 3 minutes into the new year. The pampas grass is in the front garden and is about 10 feet tall and I love the way it moves in the wind. Everything was very quiet, very dark, and very still. By 10 past 12 we could just hear fireworks and church bells in the distance. For me the new year is always a thoughtful time when I remember it's the start of another new year without my wonderful son.
